00:00:00.000 –> 00:00:08.480
We’re talking about the people of the way who were called Christians first in Antioch. By my holy

00:00:08.480 –> 00:00:27.655
name will humble themselves and seek my face if they pray. If they pray, if they pray and seek my face, I will hear. I will hear.

00:00:28.970 –> 00:00:49.715
We’re going to the book of Acts. Five times in the book of Acts, it mentions the people of the way. These were the early Christians. We’re gonna see what happened in Antioch when they were called first Christians. We’re looking to, the book of Acts chapter 11 verse 18.

00:00:50.275 –> 00:01:01.470
When they heard these things, they held their peace and glorified God saying, then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

00:01:01.470 –> 00:01:43.865
This is a big statement here because the church was first to the Jews first and then to the Gentiles. And God has made a people out of people that were no people. He made a nation out of the Gentile people, a Christian nation, a spiritual nation empowered by the Holy Spirit of God. The key in a Jewish life was repentance. When they had the blowing of the trumpet and Rosh Hashanah, there was ten days between the blowing of the trumpet and when they had to stand before God and those were ten days of awe.

00:01:43.865 –> 00:02:03.260
That was ten days of repentance. Now the Hebrew word is teshuvah and that’s where they made things right with people that they had hurt and they had forgiven people that hurt them. And it was just a very intense time. They called it an awesome time. It was a time of awesome healing.

00:02:04.220 –> 00:02:26.560
And it healed relationships. It healed families. This is the purpose that God created repentance from the foundation of the world. He gave it to the Jews first. In the book of Acts, there were Gentiles that were brought into the church, and they were granted repentance unto life.

00:02:26.560 –> 00:02:48.265
That means a wholesome holy life in this life, but it means life eternal, the resurrection. The Gentiles were granted repentance. And guess what? People that are listening to this podcast, you are granted repentance. Oh, you think that’s not a great thing?

00:02:48.265 –> 00:03:01.280
No. It’s a beautiful thing. It’s a wonderful thing. It’s a thing that will cleanse you, heal you, and prepare you for eternity in paradise. That’s how that’s how good this thing is.

00:03:02.080 –> 00:03:19.640
Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as far as Pheniceph and Cyrus and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

00:03:19.880 –> 00:03:42.860
There was a persecution that took place in the beginning of the birth of the church. It didn’t destroy the church. Folks, oftentimes persecution enhances and empowers the church. When people tell you you can’t worship Jesus Christ, you’re gonna say, I’m gonna worship him. I don’t care what you say.

00:03:42.860 –> 00:04:01.745
Early believers were scattered abroad because they were targets of the government at that time to kill them. And yet they gathered together, many of them gathered together in a place called Antioch. And this was a very important place in history.

00:04:02.225 –> 00:04:13.670
And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which when they were come to Antioch spake unto the Grecians preaching the Lord Jesus.

00:04:13.990 –> 00:04:42.460
So we’re getting people of different locations that are being exposed to the gospel. So this is what our commission is as a church. Jesus said to go into all nations and preach repentance and remission of sins to all people. He says, I’m gonna gather people out of all tribes and kindreds. Maybe you people that are listening to this are gonna be part of that gathering.

00:04:42.460 –> 00:05:03.215
That’s our prayer, that we can reach thousands, hundreds of thousands, maybe millions we can reach with this message. The time is at hand. We can see by the things that are happening in the world that Jesus is coming soon. He’s coming back for our people. I wanna be in that group.

00:05:03.590 –> 00:05:40.430
And the hand of the Lord was with them and a great number believed and turned on to the Lord. When we speak the beautiful things of God to people, many believe, some don’t believe, some mock, but there are some that will believe. And Jesus told his first apostles, gentlemen, I’m gonna make you fishers of men. You’re gonna go out and preach this gospel and there are gonna be people, men and women that are gonna come to God and be great servants of the most high God. We don’t know where they’re gonna come from.

00:05:40.590 –> 00:05:49.435
Some are coming from prisons. Some are emptying out of bars. We don’t know where where all of these people are gonna come from, but God knows.

00:05:49.755 –> 00:06:02.900
Then tidings of these things came on to the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem, and they sent forth Barnabas that he should go as far as Antioch.

00:06:02.900 –> 00:06:29.045
The leaders of the church in Jerusalem are hearing about this revival that’s taken place down in this place called Antioch. They wanna send their best man there, one of the best, Barnabas. He was called the son of consolation. He would come to you and tell you, son, daughter, you’ve got what it takes. You can be a great servant of God.

00:06:29.700 –> 00:06:47.415
All you gotta do is have the want to. He encouraged many including the apostle Paul. He was a mentor to Paul. He even had a fight with Paul over Mark. Mark cut out of one of one of the trips with Paul and returned home, and Paul was mad.

00:06:47.415 –> 00:07:04.650
He spoke ill about Mark while Barnabas said, no. Mark is chosen of God. He’s gonna be a great servant of God, so I’ll take him with me. So Paul took Silas. And later on, Paul tells the people, oh, go get Mark.

00:07:04.810 –> 00:07:18.505
Get Mark for me. He’s very useful in the kingdom work. So Mark proved himself. That shows that maybe you made a misstep. Maybe you weren’t successful in something you tried to do for God.

00:07:18.585 –> 00:07:29.090
Don’t give up. Keep at it. Keep at it and you’re gonna be successful because God has called you. Who

00:07:29.090 –> 00:07:32.610
when he came and had seen the grace of God

00:07:32.850 –> 00:07:52.840
He saw what? The grace of God. He saw the grace of God moving. And these people, I’ll tell you, when you turn your life over and you repent to God, God wants to pour His grace out upon you. The Bible says in Luke that when one sinner comes to repentance, all heaven rejoices.

00:07:52.920 –> 00:08:16.235
They have a party up there and they say, oh, man, look at that person repented. We can pour out the grace and mercy of God onto them. We can work with them. We can surround them with angels and we can empower them. Was glad and exhorted them all that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

00:08:16.395 –> 00:08:36.805
Here’s Barnabas talking to them. He exhorts them. That means he’s encouraging them. He said, oh, man, you’re you’re in the purpose of God and all you gotta do is cleave at a conference, and a lady had a a little baby and that baby just wanted to cleave to mama. And that’s the way we gotta be to Christ.

00:08:36.805 –> 00:08:46.885
We have to cleave to him. We have to be clingers. That’s what he wants. Glory to God. For he was a good man.

00:08:46.885 –> 00:09:04.485
Barnabas was a good man. And maybe maybe in your life you haven’t been such a good man, but God can make you into a good man. He can transform you into good. And full of the Holy Ghost. And he was full of the Holy Ghost.

00:09:04.645 –> 00:09:19.800
This promise of power that God has given to men and women is available. It’s available today. The power of the Holy Ghost. And that’s what he wants to pour out upon all men and women.

00:09:19.960 –> 00:09:26.040
And of faith and purpose and much people was added onto the Lord.

00:09:26.040 –> 00:09:33.725
We see the power of the Holy Spirit working. And when the Holy Spirit is working through the lives of people, many are gonna be

00:09:33.725 –> 00:09:40.045
added to the kingdom. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus for to seek Saul.

00:09:40.045 –> 00:09:57.140
There’s Barnabas. He’s going to get reinforcements to this warfare. And who is he going to? The one that was persecuting the church before. He was bound and determined and he even played a part of a person being killed, Stephen.

00:09:57.625 –> 00:10:20.360
And yet, he was hit in the head with a lightning bolt transformed for the service of God. And Barnabas became his mentor. And Barnabas told everybody, okay, he was a persecutor but now he’s a servant of the Most High and he is usable. We need him. He’s a scholar.

00:10:20.600 –> 00:10:28.855
He’s brilliant. And now he’s in the fold with us. So he’s going to get him to bring him to Antioch.

00:10:29.015 –> 00:10:56.435
And when he had found him, he brought him onto Antioch. And it came to pass that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church and taught much people and the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Oh, man. This is this is so powerful. You you read this sometimes we read a passage of scripture, we just go over, oh, yeah, he wanted

00:10:56.435 –> 00:11:13.560
to get Paul. Here we have two of the foremost people of faith at that time. Now, many scholars believe that Barnabas wrote the book of Hebrews. And this is one of my favorite books in the Bible. That’s the book that talks about faith.

00:11:13.560 –> 00:11:44.690
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen by whom the elders obtained a good report. All of this beautiful writing in Hebrews, and then Paul wrote all of these epistles. But we have a one year period where we have these two profound men teaching and ministering and exhorting. And what’s happening here? There’s such an anointing, there’s such power that comes out that they’re called Christians.

00:11:44.850 –> 00:12:03.275
What does that mean? Christ means the anointed one. In Hebrew, it’s Yeshua Hamasaik. The anointed one that came. It was not only Paul and Barnabas, it was Jesus Christ right in the presence of these people and they’re teaching and ministering and exhorting.

00:12:03.355 –> 00:12:28.765
Man, there’s a power that comes out that extends throughout that whole known world. And they were called Christians, and these were the people of the way. And out of that came explosion, an explosion where the known world is converted to Christianity. And this is what he, Jesus wants to do with with you people. He wants to bring all of us together.

00:12:28.765 –> 00:12:44.330
He wants us to be discipled in the word. He wants us to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Go out and win many and created a Holy Ghost explosion. Praise God. Thank you for listening and God bless you today.

00:00:00.240 –> 00:00:09.840
We’re turning to first Peter chapter two, which is one of the best texts on the journey of Yeshua, the apostle Paul.

00:00:09.840 –> 00:00:16.305
By my holy name will humble themselves and seek my face.

00:00:17.025 –> 00:00:17.665
My

00:00:17.585 –> 00:00:28.850
If they pray, if they pray, if they pray and seek my face, I will eat And we’re gonna

00:00:28.850 –> 00:00:31.650
go to verses one through 10.

00:00:31.730 –> 00:00:35.810
Wherefore laying aside all malice and all guile

00:00:36.130 –> 00:00:36.770
All what?

00:00:36.850 –> 00:00:38.690
All malice and all guile

00:00:38.850 –> 00:00:39.170
Okay.

00:00:39.495 –> 00:00:43.815
And hypocrisies and envies and all evil speakings.

00:00:44.135 –> 00:01:06.570
This is very difficult, Peter. Laying aside all malice, that means bad things. In Hebrew or in Spanish, mal means some something that’s bad. Any bad thing or guile means a sneaky thing. Hypocrisy means you’re you’re you’re acting out something that you’re not really and envies and all evil speakings.

00:01:06.935 –> 00:01:26.910
So he puts everything in there that out of our mouth should come nothing evil at all. That’s a very difficult thing. We shouldn’t be gossiping about other people. We shouldn’t be gossiping about a pastor. We shouldn’t be judging people and putting people down.

00:01:27.150 –> 00:01:49.210
We see this in the world today of attack mode. If you don’t believe what I believe, then I’m gonna hate you. So he’s saying that this is one of the biggest things of our journey with God is what comes out of our mouth. Yes. And this is for pastors and preachers especially.

00:01:49.610 –> 00:02:03.355
You shouldn’t be gossiping. You shouldn’t be putting people down. And you shouldn’t be envying somebody else because they have a bigger church. Let judgment begin at first at the house of God, the Bible says. Okay.

00:02:03.355 –> 00:02:04.155
Continue on.

00:02:04.155 –> 00:02:06.075
As newborn babes.

00:02:06.235 –> 00:02:14.555
As newborn babes. We have to go back to being babes in Christ because we can’t obey. We can’t control our tongue.

00:02:15.080 –> 00:02:20.040
Desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby.

00:02:20.440 –> 00:02:39.615
God help us that we grow beyond this evil stuff, especially in the church of the living God. We gotta go back to just being babes in Christ, just a sincere milk of the word because we can’t obey the meat of the word because we haven’t got by the the basic essentials.

00:02:39.855 –> 00:02:44.255
If so, be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

00:02:44.255 –> 00:03:04.245
Oh, we know that the Lord is gracious. He His grace and mercy picked us up. He healed us and helped us. And then what do we do is we we look down on those that are lost when we were we were in that pit as well. By the grace of God, mercy of God, we have a a new life.

00:03:04.245 –> 00:03:06.325
Praise God. Okay. Verse four.

00:03:06.645 –> 00:03:15.960
To whom coming as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God and precious.

00:03:16.040 –> 00:03:48.030
So he he is a living stone. Bible says he’s the cornerstone. That means when they put a big cornerstone down in in ancient days that everything had to level off. Everything had to be squared away with that particular stone. And our lives have to be squared away with Jesus and and His law, His His words, the beatitudes, the sermon on the mount, all of His His parables and metaphors and all of His teachings.

00:03:48.190 –> 00:04:05.525
And, He was rejected. And, likewise, when we follow Him, we’re gonna be rejected as well. God says, we will be precious. Precious in his sight are the people of God that that choose to go on this journey. Okay?

00:04:05.605 –> 00:04:06.565
Verse five.

00:04:06.885 –> 00:04:19.950
Ye also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house and a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

00:04:19.950 –> 00:04:37.715
Okay. It isn’t just the preacher or the teacher or the pastor that offers up spiritual sacrifices. We, as people of faith, are lively stones, Peter says. We’re built up into a spiritual house. We’re we’re part of that house.

00:04:38.120 –> 00:04:52.775
We’re part of the team of God. We’re a holy priesthood. That means we should live holy. We should talk holy. Our our lives should be holy as unto God, and we offer up spiritual sacrifices.

00:04:52.775 –> 00:05:11.190
If we go into the jail and minister to somebody in the jail, that’s a spiritual sacrifice. If we go visit a nursing home Jesus said, if you even just give a glass of cold water to somebody, that’s a spiritual sacrifice, and we get a reward for all of these things.

00:05:11.670 –> 00:05:24.895
Wherefore, also, it is contained in the scripture. Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

00:05:24.895 –> 00:05:35.220
Okay. The people in the world today are confounded. They don’t know which way to go. They’re they’re worried about their stock portfolio. They’re worried about their job.

00:05:35.220 –> 00:06:12.520
I just called somebody today that was a long term of employee for a big corporation, and he said the bad news is he was laid off. People don’t know what is the security and warfares and everything that are going on. People are confounded, but the Bible says that when we make Jesus the chief cornerstone of our life, then we believe on Him, then we’re not gonna be confounded. He’s gonna give us words of wisdom and direction and He’s gonna give us a way of life. He said, I am the way, the truth and the life.

00:06:13.505 –> 00:06:21.745
And that way is Teshuvah. That’s the journey of repentance that Peter’s talking about here. Okay. Verse seven now.

00:06:21.985 –> 00:06:36.070
Unto you therefore which believe he is precious, but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.

00:06:36.310 –> 00:06:48.625
Okay. Many people don’t believe in him, don’t believe in Christ, don’t believe in God. They think it’s hocus pocus. They they turn their heads. They disallow him.

00:06:48.625 –> 00:07:01.720
But to us that have faith in him, he’s precious. He’s precious. His blood is precious. His words are precious. The builders, the original builders, the Jewish people rejected him.

00:07:01.880 –> 00:07:16.995
Not all of them. It’s a many comp there’s a whole company of priests that did believe in him. That means hundreds of priests did believe in him. And the early church was all Jewish. But as time went on, he needed to grow his church.

00:07:17.395 –> 00:07:39.925
And so he went out into the highways and byways, and he got people like us to build his church. The people that were not a people are now a people of God. And so you have a great position when you when you get on a journey with God and repent and turn to him. Okay. Verse eight.

00:07:39.925 –> 00:07:53.560
And a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient, whereunto also they were appointed.

00:07:53.560 –> 00:08:18.135
Okay. To me, the word is precious and the word is challenging just like he challenged Peter as an oracle of God, challenges in that first verse. We have a hard time getting past that first verse. And some people are offended by that, and they don’t wanna have anything to do with the Bible because they’re disobedient. But he will have a people.

00:08:18.750 –> 00:08:26.750
Those people that he has that will come on the journey with him will be a blessed people. Okay. Go ahead.

00:08:26.750 –> 00:08:29.790
But ye are a chosen generation.

00:08:29.870 –> 00:08:37.135
A chosen generation. A royal priesthood. A royal priesthood. And a holy nation. A holy nation.

00:08:37.135 –> 00:08:49.190
A peculiar people. A peculiar people. These are the people of the way, the way of Teshuvah, the way of repentance. We we are different than the normal people. They live in their hatred.

00:08:49.190 –> 00:08:56.710
They embrace their hatred and and we assure it. We kick it out and we are happy people. Okay. Go ahead.

00:08:56.710 –> 00:09:05.285
That ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into the marvelous light.

00:09:05.285 –> 00:09:23.520
Okay. This journey, you may think it’s it’s repentance is a bad thing. People look down on it, but it’s a beautiful thing. It’s a thing that illuminates. It shines the light on those things in our life, and we’re able to take them and kick them out, overcome them.

00:09:23.520 –> 00:09:43.355
When we do that, he gives us freedom. Jesus said, I come to set the captives free. When we get that freedom, we can worship him. We can sing praises to the most high God who’s taken us out of the miry clay and put us on a rock. And that rock is the rock Jesus.

00:09:44.235 –> 00:09:46.075
Praise God. Okay. Verse 10.

00:09:46.480 –> 00:09:57.440
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God, which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

00:09:57.600 –> 00:10:15.340
Okay. You see, before coming to Christ, I was not part of the people of God. I was living my own thing. I was doing it my way. I had great materialism, success in a lot of different areas, but I wasn’t happy.

00:10:15.340 –> 00:10:35.195
But when I came to Christ and and humbled myself before him and began on the journey, then he brought peace and he brought happiness and contentment. The biggest thing of all is the mercy of God. He brought mercy to my life. I needed the mercy of God. I had hurt some people during my life, and I I needed forgiveness.

00:10:35.195 –> 00:10:55.045
The Bible says that his mercy endureth forever. It never quits. It was part of the foundation of the world. The Bible says that from the foundation of the world, he had a plan of grace and mercy. He wanted every individual to have the opportunity to come on a journey with him.

00:10:55.285 –> 00:11:29.405
So that that opportunity is out there for you, and he wants to apply a mercy to your life. Believe me, it’s a beautiful thing to have a mercy of God and to know that we are no longer guilty of sins, and we can forgive and we can apply the mercy to those that have done evil unto us. And, hate treated us with hateful ways, And we we obtain the freedom from that. We receive the mercy for us and we give mercy to others. Believe me, it’s it’s a beautiful thing and we receive the blessing of God.

00:11:29.405 –> 00:11:33.565
Okay. Now, we’re gonna return to verse nineteen and twenty.

00:11:34.260 –> 00:11:58.115
For this is thankworthy. If a man for conscience conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully. For what glory is it? If when ye be buffeted for your faith faults, ye shall take it patiently. But if ye, when ye do well and suffer for it, ye take it patiently.

00:11:58.515 –> 00:12:00.435
This is acceptable with God.

00:12:01.500 –> 00:12:18.515
Okay. So, as we go on the journey, this Teshuvah journey with God, not everybody’s gonna be happy about it and we’re gonna get buffeted. People are gonna criticize. Some people told me, who do you think you are? You’re you’re goody two shoes.

00:12:18.515 –> 00:12:28.595
You know? I said, no. I’m I’m not goody two shoes. I’m not judging you. I’m just trying to take these shoes and walk in the narrow path that Jesus has given for me.

00:12:28.595 –> 00:13:04.510
And as I walk that path, I get blessed. And maybe you’re mad about it, but we can’t when people criticize us and put us down for a life of faith, we can’t get mad about it. We accept it and we’re patient about it. And Jesus said, not only that, we need to bless those that curse us and pray for those that despitefully use us. And when we do that, we impact a spiritual world and and we impact the lives of others and we can help them with our lifestyle, this journey that we’re walking on.

00:13:04.510 –> 00:13:10.510
Okay. We got two more verses that Peter wrote in the end, verses twenty four and twenty five.

00:13:11.115 –> 00:13:16.635
Who his own self bear our sins in his own body.

00:13:16.715 –> 00:13:17.835
Whose sins?

00:13:18.315 –> 00:13:19.035
Our sins.

00:13:19.035 –> 00:13:33.610
He bore the sins of us on his body. Whoever would come to him, we can, he said, cast your cares upon me. Take up my yoke for my yoke is easy. Okay. Go ahead.

00:13:33.610 –> 00:13:44.195
His own body on the tree that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed.

00:13:44.195 –> 00:14:10.905
Okay. Stripes are where when he took a whipping with a cat of 9,000 and they drew blood on his back and they beat him almost to death and and he suffered immensely. He said, because of the beating I took with this, I proclaim healing over your body. That’s a great promise. We can enter into that and we can believe that and have faith in that and we can see miracles that come from that.

00:14:10.905 –> 00:14:32.680
I’m not talking like a a name it and claim it preacher per se that we can just name. I I want a airplane or I want a Mercedes. No. We’re claiming the work of God on us and our soul and our body. He said, through his stripes, we are healed both mentally and physically.

00:14:32.680 –> 00:14:34.840
Let’s go to verse 25.

00:14:34.920 –> 00:14:37.945
Or ye were as sheep going astray.

00:14:38.105 –> 00:14:55.160
We were as sheep going astray. I was going astray for forty odd years. And when I became sick and tired of being sick and tired and I sought out God, I returned. I returned. The is a return.

00:14:55.320 –> 00:14:57.640
A return to Christ. Go ahead here.

00:14:58.040 –> 00:15:02.280
I now returned unto the shepherd and bishop

00:15:02.280 –> 00:15:03.240
Unto the who?

00:15:03.895 –> 00:15:06.215
Shepherd and bishop. Of your soul.

00:15:06.695 –> 00:15:37.385
Jesus is the shepherd and bishop of every soul that he has created in the world. Now, most of those souls do not recognize him as shepherd and bishop. When we do, miraculous things happen. Even the thief on the cross only had a minutes left in his life. Well, one thief criticized Jesus saying, well, if you’re really the son of God, you could get us down off of here.

00:15:37.385 –> 00:15:54.520
And the other thief on the cross said, shame on you. You shouldn’t be talking to the man of God that way. We deserve to be up here, but he is pure. He doesn’t deserve to be up here. They were both they were sinners.

00:15:54.945 –> 00:16:08.380
That means they were thieves. They they were constantly stealing. Wherever they went, they they stole. They were they were by habit. And people that developed that habit, oftentimes, they stay that way their entire life.

00:16:08.380 –> 00:16:34.355
And so the Romans to teach people not to steal, they put these two thieves up on the cross where everybody could see them. But Jesus was in the middle, and he was up there. And the thief on the cross said, Lord, when you go to your your home, when you go to heaven, think upon me. Think upon me. And Jesus said, Son, tomorrow, you’re gonna be with me in paradise.

00:16:34.435 –> 00:16:54.355
He did teshuvah right up on the cross. What the guy that he had done it earlier in life that he could done work that gave glory to God. And then that’s what God wants to do with every soul. He he’s the bishop. He’s the shepherd and bishop of every soul, and he’s waiting for for every soul to come.

00:16:54.435 –> 00:17:27.405
And once the book of Luke says, one soul comes in repentance, all heaven rejoices. It’s there’s a rejoicing because that’s when people when God can send his angels to be surrounded, he said he puts angels around those that love him and serve him. And and not only that, he puts himself aside of us to help lead us and guide us and he’s waiting for you to come to him in repentance. Do it and all heaven is gonna rejoice over your soul. God bless you today.

00:00:00.400 –> 00:00:06.080
Today, we’re talking about the people of the way who repented and partnered with Christ.

00:00:06.160 –> 00:00:12.400
By my holy name will humble themselves and see my face.

00:00:28.440 –> 00:00:32.760
We’re looking to the prophet Isaiah chapter one

00:00:33.080 –> 00:00:49.335
and verse 18. Come now and let us reason together, saith the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

00:00:49.495 –> 00:01:21.195
Yeah. This is a prophetic, word from Isaiah. The chapter one begins with describing the vision of Isaiah. Isaiah had a vision of the people of God in the future who were perhaps laden with sins, and he represented them as scarlet, as as red. But they were transformed from the scarlet to whiteness, white as snow.

00:01:21.275 –> 00:01:39.665
That means that through repentance, the people of God were transformed. They were purified by the spirit of God and the word of God. We’re turning now to Mark chapter two. We’re gonna read verses eight through 11.

00:01:40.145 –> 00:02:19.215
And immediately, when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, why reason ye these things in your hearts whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, thy sins be forgiven thee or to say, arise and take up thy bed and walk. But that you may know that the son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, he say it to the sick of the palsy. I say unto thee, arise and take up thy bed and go thy way into thine house.

00:02:19.590 –> 00:02:44.445
Okay. This is a a strange question that, Jesus proposes here. He says, what is easier for him to heal somebody or for him to forgive that person? I used to read this scripture and say, man, it it’s the same thing. It takes the power of God to forgive somebody, and it takes the power of God to heal somebody.

00:02:44.765 –> 00:03:10.845
But later, as I got deeper into the word and understood the question and its roots, I understood that Jesus has the power to do both. In fact, he can heal us without our our knowledge. In John chapter five, there’s a man that was healed. And at first, he didn’t even know who healed him or how he got healed. He was not aware.

00:03:11.245 –> 00:03:41.465
But with the forgiveness of sins, it takes a cooperation of the person that has the sins. They have to come in repentance to Christ to receive the forgiveness of sins. He cannot forgive you of your sins if you don’t ask him, if you don’t come to him in contrition and a sincere desire to overcome those sins. It’s really harder. It’s a harder thing for him to forgive sins.

00:03:41.860 –> 00:03:56.820
In fact, we’re gonna see in the next scripture how he did many miracles, but nobody repented. We’re gonna turn now to Matthew, chapter 11. Read verses twenty and twenty one.

00:03:57.305 –> 00:04:21.600
Then began he to upgrade the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done because they repented not. Woe unto thee, Carise. Woe unto thee, Bethesda. For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

00:04:21.760 –> 00:04:52.340
This is an is an amazing thing to wrap our heads around this. But in that area, they call it the scholars call it the evangelical triangle of these three cities that are up on top of the Sea Of Galilee. And and that’s where he did most of his mighty works were done there. And yet, they repented not. Nobody repented, which tells us that we can experience a lot of things in life.

00:04:52.340 –> 00:05:33.240
We can experience miracles and people in the church experience oftentimes through prayer and seeking God. They receive a healing. The most important thing is the repentance because that is the function that cleanses us from sin, the remission of sins. He healed the blind and healed the deaf and cleansed the lepers, even raised people from the dead and did all those mighty miracles there. These people were not prompted to go into repentance.

00:05:33.480 –> 00:05:54.355
Yes. God is is a lover. He he wants to bless people. We’ve seen many miracles in our life, and I’ve even seen people that have received miracles that never have fully repented. So if we wanna spend eternity with Christ, we are going to have to repent.

00:05:54.435 –> 00:06:06.280
Now let’s turn to verses 28 through 30. This is the the end of this particular chapter. He’s culminating a formula for his people.

00:06:06.760 –> 00:06:11.480
Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden.

00:06:11.480 –> 00:06:16.105
If you’re laboring and you’re heavy laden, he says, you need to come on to him.

00:06:16.185 –> 00:06:18.105
And I will give you rest.

00:06:18.185 –> 00:06:31.880
And he will give us rest. He is our shalom. Now, the people in the Old Testament were given the Sabbath and that was a wonderful thing. They call the Sabbath the queen. God is the king.

00:06:31.880 –> 00:06:53.915
And Christ, he is our Sabbath. He is our rest. And we can turn to him no matter what day it is. No matter where we are, we have to learn to return to Christ continually. And and it has to become intuitive that we can do it without really putting a lot of thought behind it.

00:06:53.915 –> 00:07:19.305
It just becomes natural for us. Take my yoke upon you. Take his yoke. I would teach people about how we learn to walk the path of teshuvah is we take Jesus’ yoke. Now in the ancient times, the most powerful animal was the ox, and they would train a young oxen by yoking them with the old ones.

00:07:19.785 –> 00:07:48.555
And the old ones would help them to walk the path and to to walk the narrow path and up through the mountains or wherever they had to haul things. That old ox was steady there teaching the young one, and and this is what Christ is talking about. He wants us to yoke with him, be linked with him on our journey. Sometimes we’re in perilous times. We’re we’re high up in the mountain and we could fall off and be destroyed.

00:07:48.955 –> 00:08:12.065
But if we’re linked with him, we have the protective cover and we have his guidance as we yoke with him. And learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart. So as we yoke with him, we become more personalized with him. He becomes our friend. He said, my sheep hear my voice.

00:08:12.065 –> 00:08:44.035
They know my voice and they follow me. So as we’re yoked with him, as we return to him intuitively, The word of God begins to work at us and and intuitively we know what to do. Sometimes the best thing for us is just to keep our mouth shut in situations or give a kind word. The bible says a soft word dispelleth much wrath. The the tongue is the most difficult thing to control.

00:08:44.275 –> 00:09:06.445
This is why Peter in chapter two first Peter chapter two, he talks about laying aside all guile and all evil speaking. Gotta lay that stuff aside. If we’re gonna yoke with Christ, he’s gonna be with us. He doesn’t wanna hear us gossiping or bad wrapping some other person. We need to lift them up.

00:09:06.605 –> 00:09:10.365
Have compassion for those that are lost and are contending with themselves.

00:09:11.300 –> 00:09:14.420
And ye shall find rest unto your souls.

00:09:14.420 –> 00:09:23.540
Okay. When we’re doing all this, we can find rest no matter where we’re at. We can be in the middle of the fire. I’m talking about spiritual fire.

00:09:23.540 –> 00:09:27.595
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

00:09:27.675 –> 00:10:03.415
For his yoke is easy. Now those of us that have come out of worldly situations where we’ve had an addiction, I had the addiction of alcohol. And I could tell you that’s a heavy yoke. And there’s millions and millions of people, I don’t care how highly educated they are, doctors, lawyers, judges, people in the government, and people in high positions that are dependent on alcohol to get peace in life. I’m telling you, you can get peace and joy through Christ.

00:10:03.895 –> 00:10:16.200
Return to Christ. And he will give you peace. He will give you joy. All of the things that you need are available in him. God bless you.

00:00:00.000 –> 00:00:06.640
We’re turning to Genesis twelve and four to learn how to become a Hebrew.

00:00:06.720 –> 00:00:26.065
By my holy name will humble themselves and see my face. If they pray, if they pray, if they pray and seek my face, I will hear.

00:00:26.945 –> 00:00:39.240
So Abraham departed as the Lord has spoken unto him and Lot went with him and Abram was 70 and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

00:00:39.320 –> 00:01:19.645
He departed out of Haran and what he did was he crossed over the River Euphrates. The Hebrew word for Hebrew is ibrit and ibrit means one who crosses over. Now, studying the life of Abraham, he crossed over from the civilized area, the urban area, so to speak, over to the land of Canaan. Abraham and his father had been makers of idols. They had made a fortune in making idols.

00:01:19.805 –> 00:01:55.250
He knew perhaps every idol that people could worship. And he made them and made a lot of money. But at age 75, he was tired of a lifestyle, of making money and something that he knew was not right. When Abraham crossed over, he crossed over from a prior life that was devoted strictly to materialism, making money, creating idols. And this is the way our world is today.

00:01:55.730 –> 00:02:23.910
The world is filled with idols. People make idols out of cars and houses and boats and businesses. And, they even make idols out of singers and athletes and they worship their idols. But, God wants us to worship Him. And, Abraham at 75 said, I’m sick and tired of idols and materialism, and he became a God seeker.

00:02:23.910 –> 00:03:06.005
He went from total materialism and total self indulgence to seeking the face of God. God called him out of there and perhaps God is calling you out of wherever you’re at and wanting you to cross over because when you cross over from your past into a life of serving God and loving God and obeying God, you become a Hebrew. You’ve crossed over. You’re on a journey of Teshuvah and Abraham began seeking a city whose builder and maker is God. He wanted to commune with the people of God.

00:03:06.005 –> 00:03:15.045
He wanted to commune with God. Let’s turn to another chapter in Genesis chapter 14 verse 16.

00:03:15.670 –> 00:03:47.900
And he brought back all the goods and also brought again his brother Lot and his goods and the women also and the people. And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and of the kings that were with him at the Valley Of Shavu, which is the king’s dale. And Melchizedek, king of Salem brought forth bread and wine and he was the priest of the most high God.

00:03:47.900 –> 00:04:13.315
We see here that Abraham was doing a righteous thing. What has happened here is his nephew Lot got caught and captured by enemies that were going to enslave him And, Abraham goes after to save Lot. Now, Lot didn’t treat Abraham with great respect when the two of them had much cattle. Abraham had his cattle. Lot had his cattle.

00:04:13.315 –> 00:04:42.005
They each had people that worked for them. Abraham told Lot, he said, look, our people are fighting over the land. You take your choice of what land you want and and I’ll take the other portion. And so Lot, instead of deferring to the elder and giving him the option of the first choice and the better choice, Lot chooses the best area for himself. He was selfish.

00:04:42.230 –> 00:05:12.330
But, in the end, God told Abraham, Abraham, all of this is yours anyway. This is this is all yours. But, Abraham, even though he got mistreated by his nephew, went to risk his life to save his nephew. He was able to fight off these people that had captured him and he came back with spoil from the enemy’s camp. And, he told the people from Sodom, I’m not gonna take any of this spoil.

00:05:12.330 –> 00:05:46.250
But he did have an encounter there with Melchizedek, which is an interesting character. In Hebrew, it’s called Melchizedek or king of the righteousness. And so Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek. Melchizedek ministered the word of God to Abraham and it was a spiritual epiphany for Abraham in that he gave him tithes. He was in a sense surrendering his life by giving these tithes.

00:05:46.250 –> 00:06:22.780
The tithe is a representation. It’s like giving the top profit or 10% to God and it means you’re giving God everything ultimately. And this is what God wants from us is for us to cross over from the past life into a new life with him for us to give him everything. Our lives, our money, whatever talents we have, we’re gonna give them to God. We’re gonna turn to Hebrews chapter seven verses one through four.

00:06:23.295 –> 00:06:24.335
For this

00:06:24.415 –> 00:06:29.695
Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God

00:06:29.855 –> 00:06:34.735
Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God.

00:06:34.975 –> 00:06:40.210
Met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him.

00:06:40.210 –> 00:06:53.045
He met Abraham as Abraham was doing this righteous act to save his nephew. And Melchizedek blessed him. He blessed him with the word of God.

00:06:53.205 –> 00:07:06.725
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being by interpretation, king of righteousness and after that also king of Salem, is king of peace.

00:07:07.250 –> 00:07:38.110
So, we see that this is a priest of the Most High God. It’s an archetype and the thing is that’s important here is that this Melchizedek is a type of Christ. The Bible says that the people of the Old Testament are types and shadows of what we find in the New Testament. Melchizedek, it says he’s first the king of righteousness. And in Hebrew it’s called Melech Sodok.

00:07:38.510 –> 00:07:54.715
Sodok is somebody who operates in righteousness and Melech means a king. So he’s first king of righteousness. Everything that he does is righteous. His word is righteous. His actions are righteous.

00:07:54.715 –> 00:08:19.965
Everything that Christ did was righteous. Even and especially his work on the cross. We see that he is first the king of righteousness and then he becomes the king of peace or melek shalom. In Hebrew the word peace is shalom. And Shalom is a multifaceted blessing.

00:08:20.125 –> 00:08:31.085
It means comfort. It means help. It means purity. It means holiness. It means happiness, contentment, joy, integrity.

00:08:32.100 –> 00:08:46.500
All of the things that you would like to be and like to do are incorporated in that word shalom. Jewish people today, it’s a greeting. Shalom. Shalom alaikum. Peace be unto you.

00:08:47.515 –> 00:09:25.895
And so, God is saying that as we do these correct things, as we obey His word, then we become righteous in His eyes. And then he adds comfort. He adds peace to our life. One of the things that the people of the way in the book of Acts, the important characteristic, they were people that were at peace with themselves. The Bible says that the people that are lost are contending with themselves.

00:09:26.455 –> 00:09:40.260
They wanna do right, but they can’t do right. They They wanted to do this but they did the other thing. And even the Apostle Paul talked about it. He said, When I wanted to do the right thing, I didn’t do it. I did the wrong thing.

00:09:40.260 –> 00:09:58.365
And when I didn’t want to do the wrong thing, that’s what I did. And he said, Who can help me out of this? And that is the Lord Jesus Christ. But we have to become a Hebrew. We have to give up the past and move on to the high prize and calling in Christ Jesus.

00:09:59.260 –> 00:10:16.205
But he will take our desire, our walk in righteousness as we obey his word and he will apply peace to our soul. We’re turning to John chapter fourteen and one verse, verse 27.

00:10:16.765 –> 00:10:29.085
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give unto you. Not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

00:10:29.920 –> 00:11:08.860
Jesus is expressing his desire to give us his peace, his Shalom. As we become a Hebrew and we cross over from our prior life into a life that is ordained of God, a life that is subjected to his word and seeking to do the right thing As we go on this journey, we just seek to do the next right thing. And that’s what righteousness is. He said, The peace that I give, the world cannot give. People look for peace.

00:11:09.245 –> 00:11:47.605
They’re looking for the Shalom, but they’re looking in the wrong places. You can look for it in the comfort of alcohol or drugs or the things that money can buy. Nothing compares to the peace that Jesus gives. If you pass over from the life of serving yourself over into a life of serving God, serving Jesus, Peter said that you’re gonna have the peace that passeth all understanding. Thank you and God bless you today.

00:00:00.160 –> 00:00:05.600
Five times in the book of Acts, the people are called the people of the way.

00:00:05.680 –> 00:00:25.955
By my holy name will humble themselves and seek my face. They pray, if they pray, if they pray and seek my face, I will hear. I will

00:00:26.035 –> 00:00:31.450
Returning first to Isaiah chapter 40 verses three through five.

00:00:31.770 –> 00:01:08.575
The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the Lord. Make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hills shall be made low, and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken of.

00:01:08.575 –> 00:01:42.685
This is a prophetic word from Isaiah talking about the way of the Lord. It’s going to be a beautiful way. The Lord himself is going to make a straight way for us and help us where there’s mountains that have to be climbed. He will lower the mountains and in the deep valleys, he will raise them up. He is with his people as they walk his way.

00:01:42.685 –> 00:01:56.860
So this was a prophetic word from Isaiah. Now we’re gonna turn to Malachi to hear a prophetic word from him. Turning to Malachi chapter three verses one through three.

00:01:57.100 –> 00:02:28.290
Behold, I will send my messenger and he shall prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom ye seek shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant whom ye delight in. Behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts. But who may abide the day of his coming? And who shall stand when he appeareth?

00:02:28.770 –> 00:02:54.850
For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fuller’s soap. And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And he shall purify the sons of Levi and purge them as gold and silver that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.

00:02:54.930 –> 00:03:39.295
Amen. Now, God’s talking about this path that is the way of the Lord and in the process of the path that we are going to be refined like silver and gold. Now, if you’ve ever seen a goldsmith work or a silversmith, they they put intense heat underneath the metal. And when it reaches a certain temperature, it liquefies. And when that metal becomes liquid, all of the impurities come up to the top.

00:03:40.495 –> 00:04:00.540
And the master goldsmith can take his ladle and wipe off these impurities. And this is what God will do with us as we’re walking through this life. He calls it a desert. We look at the world. It’s a dangerous place.

00:04:01.235 –> 00:04:48.750
When I was a young boy and Boy Scouts, we went to Philmont’s Scout Ranch and we were out into the desert area and they taught us how to survive, how to even put down a rattlesnake. You have to catch them with a forked branch and then chop them, chop the head off with a bowie knife. So I never did tell my dear mother about that episode with the rattlesnake. But my wife and I passed her for a while in the inner city. We were involved right in the middle of a ghetto and you could hear gunshots go off and people would die a block or two away.

00:04:49.550 –> 00:05:18.970
So, we live in a dangerous world today. But as we walk on the path with God, he puts his angels about us. He he said, I will put angels about those that love me and serve me. It’s a path where God accompanies us and he he refines us. We’re the people that have faith in Christ today are the sons, are the recipients.

00:05:19.450 –> 00:05:49.650
We’re the Bible says in Romans 11 that we’re we’re grafted into Israel. We’re the fullness of the expression of God, Jesus said He didn’t come to destroy the law. He came to fulfill the law and He fulfilled it in spiritual ways. We’ll go into that more deeply. But let’s go on to Malachi chapter four for another proclamation by this prophet.

00:05:50.225 –> 00:05:56.145
Malachi chapter four, it’s the next chapter over, verses five and six.

00:05:56.385 –> 00:05:59.345
Behold, I will send you Elijah.

00:05:59.345 –> 00:06:28.945
Wherever the Bible says, behold, it’s usually in capital letters and it means the presence of God is there. So as we read this word, God is present in His word. Jesus said, my words are spirit and they are life. And not just for an abundant life in this world, but to take us into eternal life with him.

00:06:29.505 –> 00:06:32.780
Behold, I will send you Elijah.

00:06:32.940 –> 00:06:35.100
I will send you Elijah.

00:06:35.180 –> 00:06:41.100
The prophet before the coming of the great dreadful day of the Lord.

00:06:41.180 –> 00:06:57.775
That’s the day that he’s gonna come back in judgment. And, folks, we need to be ready. We need to be purified. Like he said, he he he’s gonna purify these sons of Levi. He’s he’s gonna purify them like gold and silver.

00:06:57.775 –> 00:07:13.840
He wants us to be purified of any sins that we have. And that’s what the role of repentance is. And in Hebrew, it’s called teshuvah. Teshuvah is the way. It’s the way that Jesus expressed.

00:07:13.840 –> 00:07:34.870
He said, except you teshuvah, you’ll likewise perish. He said, Teshuvah for the kingdom of God is at hand. So all of the prophets proclaimed this way, this the way of Teshuvah. And we’re gonna read where he affirmed those prophets.

00:07:34.950 –> 00:07:39.030
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children.

00:07:39.110 –> 00:08:18.865
And he’s gonna turn the hearts of the fathers unto the children. How many families are disrupted from the evilness in this world and parents that don’t care about their children and children wanna be disassociated from their parents. And I won’t name a name but currently a child of a former president wanted to be disassociated with her father. And what a horrible thing to lay upon a father. But this word is saying that in this path of teshuvah, that’s gonna bring families together.

00:08:19.185 –> 00:08:28.870
It’s gonna bring children, daughters and sons with their mothers and fathers and and their hearts are gonna bind together in love.

00:08:29.830 –> 00:08:37.110
And the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

00:08:37.565 –> 00:09:03.960
He does not want families to be divided. And when people divide in their family and they disown their children or the children disown their parents, they they enter into a curse because God’s first plan was for the family to be together. Okay. So you’re from a broken family. That doesn’t mean that you can’t turn around and and serve God.

00:09:03.960 –> 00:09:35.175
And perhaps you’re turning into the path of teshuvah is is is going to bring love and comfort to your family. And you can reach out even though a family is broken and you can reach out to those that have suffered from the brokenness. I’m telling you folks, this path of Teshuvah is a wonderful path. It’s a beautiful path. People look at repentance and think, oh, this is this is not a good thing.

00:09:35.175 –> 00:09:49.030
I have to confess my sins. No. It’s a good thing because we deal with these sins and we become free from them. Jesus said, I come to set the captives free. And there’s a beauty in freedom.

00:09:49.750 –> 00:10:26.260
If you’ve been enslaved to something and then you get set free, it’s a beautiful thing. Okay, we’re gonna turn to Acts chapter 18 verse 24 and we see that Jesus affirms the fact of Elijah the coming of Elijah. Now, the coming of Elijah is really the coming of John the Baptist. He was the he was the one that came and set forth that straight path. What was the path?

00:10:26.340 –> 00:10:44.955
The path of repentance. He baptized people into repentance. And he even baptized Jesus into repentance. Now, Jesus had no sin. So why did he have to be baptized?

00:10:44.955 –> 00:11:02.920
Because teshuvah is a journey. And Jesus had a journey that was God driven. He had to go to the cross. He had to suffer humiliation. He had to be crucified and shed that precious blood.

00:11:03.425 –> 00:11:29.550
There’s no remission of sins without the shedding of blood. And when the temple was in operation, they had animals that shed their blood for the sins of people for a year. But his blood is forever. His sacrifice is forever available to every individual. And so let’s read what Jesus said.

00:11:29.550 –> 00:11:35.265
We’re turning to Acts chapter 18 verses 24 through 28.

00:11:35.345 –> 00:11:45.265
And a certain Jew named Apollos, born in Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the scriptures came to Ephesus.

00:11:45.670 –> 00:11:50.070
We know that he’s eloquent and he’s mighty in the scriptures.

00:11:50.150 –> 00:11:53.270
This man was instructed in the way of the Lord.

00:11:53.270 –> 00:11:55.830
He was instructed in the way of the Lord.

00:11:55.990 –> 00:11:58.710
And being fervent in the spirit

00:11:58.790 –> 00:12:00.070
Fervent in the spirit.

00:12:00.615 –> 00:12:02.855
He spake and taught diligently

00:12:03.095 –> 00:12:04.615
He taught diligently

00:12:04.935 –> 00:12:06.455
the things of the Lord

00:12:06.615 –> 00:12:08.055
The things of the Lord.

00:12:08.375 –> 00:12:10.855
Knowing only the baptism of John

00:12:11.095 –> 00:12:13.335
Only the baptism of John.

00:12:13.970 –> 00:12:28.865
And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him onto them and expounded onto him the way of God more perfectly.

00:12:28.945 –> 00:12:53.750
They expounded onto him the way of God more perfectly. And that’s our subject here today is to determine what is the way. Not only what is the way, but what is the way more perfectly. Because some people know about the way, but they do not know about the way more perfectly.

00:12:54.515 –> 00:13:09.635
And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote exhorting the disciples to receive him who, when he was calm, helped them much which had believed through grace.

00:13:09.860 –> 00:13:19.460
He helped those that had needed help. They needed the grace of God and they received help and he was able to help minister to them.

00:13:19.460 –> 00:13:22.660
For he mightily convinced the Jews.

00:13:22.740 –> 00:13:25.380
He mightily convinced the Jews.

00:13:25.915 –> 00:13:32.155
And that publicly showing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

00:13:32.235 –> 00:13:54.785
He was able to convince them. He was eloquent. And the thing that he convinced them with was that Jesus was the Christ. Christ is oftentimes used as the name of Jesus, but his name is Jesus. In Hebrew, it’s Yeshua.

00:13:55.025 –> 00:14:24.165
Christ means the anointed one. And in Hebrew, it’s Yeshua, the Messiah. And the Messiah was known as an anointed one. He would come with the spirit of God preaching truth. The way more perfectly is a way that understands that Jesus is the Christ.

00:14:24.245 –> 00:14:59.195
Now, we look in the scriptures when Jesus took his apostles to Caesarea Philippi at the base of Mount Hermon and he asked them, Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am? And they said, Son, say you’re Elijah or John the Baptist or one of the prophets. And he said, Who do you say that I am? And Peter jumped up and said, thou art the Christ, the son of the living God. He was both the son of man and he was the son of God.

00:15:00.300 –> 00:15:27.275
And his divinity was the spirit of God that was in him. That same spirit that was in him can be in you and me. He said, if you love me and you obey me, I will be with you and I will dwell in you. And that’s the power of God. That’s the resurrection power that can take us and transform us into his image.

00:15:27.850 –> 00:15:52.755
And ultimately, apostle Paul said, if the spirit that was in Christ is in you, it will raise up our mortal bodies. After we die, there will be a resurrection. And those that die in Christ will be caught up with him in the heavens and will be with him for eternity. That’s a promise for us. And God bless you.
