With her background in traumatic brain injury, mental illness, elder law and disability law, Ms. Cornish brings a distinctive set of abilities to her work with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
In 2010 Ms. Cornish founded the Dementia & Alzheimer’s Wellbeing Network (DAWN®) in Moscow, Idaho. Through her hands-on work with dementia, she developed a proprietary method for working with people who have dementia—one that helps them develop and retain a sense of security and wellbeing. The DAWN Method® is simple enough to be used by caregivers in the home and works in care facilities as well. It targets the emotional distress that accompanies cognitive decline so that behaviors are avoided and caregiver stress is minimized.
Today the DAWN Method is in use with seniors in Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington, using a two-tiered care system of case managers and dementia care specialists. Ms. Cornish provides training in the DAWN method and consults with families in the Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington region.

From graduate school, she was appointed to work on the Women’s Campaign where she collaborated with Jewish women from around the state of Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts, assisting in leadership development and strengthening women’s voices in philanthropy.
After her first child was born, she pursued her Chaplaincy dream and worked in Miriam Hospital’s cancer unit and surgical intensive care units during her CPE residency. She worked for over 2 years at the VNA Care New England as a Hospice Chaplain and for the past 6 years (and currently) as a behavioral health clinician in Emergency Departments.
Her unique perspective and ability to help others suffering from mental health and/or addiction and serving those individuals at end of life, is the reason Meredith says she feels honored to do this holy work.

Ingredients: 1 head of Cauliflower (organic preferred), 2 green scallions, 2 stalks celery, handful of Cilantro, 2 boiled eggs, Salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, Avocado Mayonnaise.
Separate the Cauliflower into small pieces and steam to tender about 5 minutes. I like to steam mine. Remove and add chopped boiled eggs. Cut green scallions, celery and cilantro into small size and add to bowl. Add seasonings and avocado Mayo. You can vary this, it’s pretty much like potato salad except you use Cauliflower and Avocado Mayo.

I am honored to share my story with you so that you can see the path that brought me to where I am today. You see, I believe that it is through difficult situations and great pain that the human spirit grows and character is developed. And my story is a testament to this.
I started in the fitness industry when I was only 18 years old, and I knew that it was where I belonged. I had always been into fitness and enjoyed being active throughout my whole childhood. I was involved in Martial Arts, Wrestling and Football throughout high school and was generally a very physical person.
I have been in the field for 26+ years and plan to stay here for many more. While I always enjoyed my work and was successful with it, I was not as passionate then as I am now. The passion didn’t come until much later. The passion came through the most painful loss I have ever experienced…the death of my mother.
It was my mother’s life: her sacrifices, support and guidance that made me the man I am today. It was her death that birthed a passion in me. After I lost my mother, I had a renewed sense of purpose; I vowed that I would make her proud. It was during this painful season that I realized that I was put here to help others, to guide others to be their best selves, and to continue striving to be my best too.
My parents were always an anchor for me. They raised my siblings and I to be the best we could be, instilling a deep faith and the principles of Respect, Love and Discipline; principles that I apply to everything I do even to this day. After my mother’s death, my father became a beacon for me. He demonstrated a great strength even through great tragedy. He inspires me to push through the pain and grow stronger through difficult situations.
Since then, I redefined my purpose. I became more passionate about helping others to reach their goals, but even more I longed to help them evolve into their best selves. I work with clients to help them move forward towards their future instead of dwelling on the past. One of my favorite analogies of this evolution is when a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. After the butterfly emerges from the cocoon, he never goes back to being a caterpillar. Once you start living as your true self and growing into your best self, you don’t go back to who you used to be.
Since this awakening, my path has led me towards many great career opportunities. I have worked as a Spartan SGX trainer and had the incredible honor of giving motivational speeches at Spartan and Battlefrog events along with at the OCR World Championships. I have spoken to groups of first responders and to youth at schools. When I speak, I do not write a script, I speak from the heart and in the moment. My hope with each motivational speech is that I connect to the hearts of the audience, that they will be able to feel my energy and passion and that it will ignite something inside of them too! I view every speaking opportunity as an honor and an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.
As far as training goes, I have developed my own unique style that represents who I am as a fitness coach. I have built the foundation for my training on my years of experience with various approaches. My training sessions are all about functional movement, but I am constantly changing things up to keep my clients interested and challenged. This style is not for everyone, but those who want to be pushed and who want to become mentally…

I work independently and in partnership with naturopathic and integrated medical doctors to create lasting lifestyle change for clients/patients.
Originally from Illinois, and prior to a career in wellness, I held a diverse 30+ year career in business management, communications, and consulting. My career includes leadership roles for major companies and nonprofits where I’ve managed strategic partnerships and created programs with Fortune 500 companies with a bottom line of $10M in revenue, sponsorships and in-kind donations.
When my employer quickly downsized, I began my own consulting practice to help entrepreneurs and proprietors build their business. I’ve independently coached and consulted with more than 500 business leaders through my programs, conferences, and partnerships with higher education, government and nonprofit entities.
As the years flew by, I found myself professionally flourishing, but plummeting in health. Though I tried different weight loss programs, nothing worked. I resolved to believe that I’d be overweight (and unhealthy) the rest of my life and engulfed myself in working around the clock to create solutions for clients.
One day, I was in pain and could not get out of bed. I thought it was food poisoning. A good friend suggested I try a holistic treatment (colon hydrotherapy). I didn’t know what it was, but, was willing to explore it. After the first session, the pain was gone.
One session quickly became weekly visits for three months and a 30 pound weight loss without exercise (which I later added and actually become a fitness instructor)! This started my passion for holistic wellness and led to another career in the wellness coaching. Though my clients knew the business results, they were eager to learn more about my weight loss and health management routines. I became a raw foodist (vegetarian), avid juicer, and dropped six sizes in about eight months! My overall health improved. Shortly after, I wrote and self-published My Secret Transformation; How I Detoxed My Life and Reinvented Myself. That was more than a decade ago and it’s still how I govern my life.
The same year My Secret Transformation was published, a weight loss franchise recruited me to become their lead weight loss coach and practice director for the Southwest region. Today, I reside in Arizona and assist people across the country with wellness and integrated approaches.
I studied at Columbia College, Chicago, earned a BA in communications from Governors State University and Holistic Nutrition Wellness Practitioner designation from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Arizona.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, juicing, writing and expanding my knowledge on integrated wellness. I’m the mother of three adult sons and grandmother of twins.

Dr. Goodhead is a Methodist Minister with 14 years Church based experience gained in several localities throughout the UK, both urban and rural. In his role at St Christopher’s Andrew is concerned to ensure that all End-of-Life Care professionals have the skills and confidence to offer spiritual assessment and ongoing support to all patients and their families.
He has a particular interest in the concept of spiritual pain as a way of understanding spiritual need. For patients with faith needs Andrew is developing the pastoral and religious role of the Spiritual Care Lead. Andrew graduated in 2014 with the King’s College, London, MSc in Palliative Care. His dissertation explored the experiences and attitudes of community clergy in caring for dying people.
Andrew has published his thesis with Wipf & Stock (USA) under the title A Crown and a Cross; the Origins, Development and Decline of the Methodist Class Meeting in Eighteenth Century England.
In November 2010, Mortality published the results of Andrew’s research into memorialization: A textual analysis of memorials written by bereaved individuals and families in a hospice context. In July 2011, The European Journal of Palliative Care published Physiotherapy in Palliative care: the interface between function and meaning, this is a philosophical examination of how physical ability affects the way in which meaning can be made.
His most recent paper, (accepted by Palliative Medicine) based on his MSc dissertation study is ‘I think you just learnt as you went along’ – Community clergy’s experiences of and attitudes towards caring for dying people: a pilot study [in process of publication]. Andrew is a co facilitator for the Spirituality Education Group on the European Association of Palliative Care and a member of the Spirituality Taskforce of the EAPC.
