Karen joins Sober.Coffee at a table for three, talking about owning your own shit. In her words, “It’s your fault, asshole”.
How does owning your own shit affect sobriety? Human nature is to find fault. Instead of looking inward, we look outward for whose fault it is. Karen talks about her own recovery journey and tells us when she can own her shit, blame herself for her own problems, then she can truly recover – because if she can’t be honest with herself, she can’t recover.

Episode 26 – It’s time we get really deep on what those brains of ours are capable of. We all know that feeling of loathing our bodies, the pain we feel, the hardships, but what if we had more say in how it affected us? If you ask me, we do! In this episode, I talk through a few stories where I took mind over matter SUPER serious and moved through pain or anxiety in a way that truly helped guide me in situations that felt out of my control. We also go through an empowering mindfulness practice to help you gain clarity on who the heck you are and why you matter. This episode will absolutely leave you feeling refreshed, revamped, and like you can take on the world, so don’t miss out!
