In this episode, I talk about real, raw change and how LEANING INTO your goals, aspirations, and shifts is much more sustainable. In addition, I go through action steps to accomplishing steps in the right direction for actually getting things done. You can learn from anyone. You can learn what to do. You can learn what not to do. If you listen to their story, listen to their life and the challenges they face, if you truly listen – their story is suggesting to you how to overcome an obstacle in your life. That’s what we hear from James C.
James shares that he was given the gift of surrender on a cold January night in Michigan. It was the end of the road. He was highly addicted to alcohol, heroin, methadone, and valium and spent detox in a dingy, dark room. On the third night, sick as a dog, James tells us about the circumstances that led to his surrender, his gift of sobriety and the willingness to do the hard work that would be facing him after detox.

Episode # 17 – OUT with the ‘new year, new me’ stuff – IN with finding ourselves and what works for us in any part of life. But let’s still take a little time on this new calendar year to think more intentionally into how we navigate the world around us, shall we? From ‘shopping my home’ and refreshing to intentional ‘feet to the ground moments. I talk about ways I set myself up for more clarity, always…not just because January 1st rolled around.
In addition, come get inspired by a chat about making strides with ‘1 minute miracles,’ jars of gratitude, and celebrating simple…things that I find to be such game changers for setting myself up for success. Lastly, how I believe writing can be so beautifully powerful as I share and read some old letters in my journal to unearth some transformation (vulnerable alert)! It’s unreal what written words can convey and move you through. Ending with a few more tangible ways to create some momentum for yourself, your boundaries, your schedule, and feel powerful going through life’s up’s and downs.

Alcohol is a depressant, it affects your nervous system and slows down your breathing, heart rate and other important tasks your body does. Mike & Glenn share their experiences with alcohol poisoning – from friends who have been hospitalized, friends that didn’t have a chronic drinking problem and died from alcohol poisoning, and even being in the hospital for alcohol poisoning themselves.
Think someone you know has alcohol poisoning?
Do:
Call 9-1-1
Don’t leave them alone
Try to get them sitting up
Cover them with a warm blanket
Keep them from choking
Don’t:
Give them a cold shower – it can lower body temperature
Don’t give them food – it can lead to vomiting
Don’t have them walk it off – it can lead to a fall
Don’t try to get them to throw up – it can cause choking
