(Un)Divided Attention

When was the last time you saw someone reading a magazine article while driving to work? Hopefully never! Your listeners might be driving to work, doing the dishes, working out, or walking the dog, and all the while it could be your podcast that they are listening to. That’s potentially hours a week they can be reached. Traditional media such as youtube, blogs, newspaper, and magazines all require their users undivided attention, in a world where everything is competing to get just that. Most people can’t spend more than 5 minutes watching a youtube video. The lure of the next clickbait thumbnail preview is just too irresistible.
